Are you at Risk?

There are certain conditions or situations that increase one's likelihood of developing glaucoma. These are commonly referred to as risk factors and include the following:
> Advanced age

> Family history of glaucoma
> Diabetes Near-sightedness (myopia)

Prevention

If you or someone you care about has glaucoma, you can help prevent further damage from the disease by following these steps:
> Routine eye examinations
> Compliance with the recommended medical regimen
> Maintenance of good general health
> Avoidance of strenuous activities, which may increase intraocular pressure.
