Are You at Risk for Hepatitis B?

Have you ever had a sexually transmitted disease?
> Have you had
sex with more than one partner in the past 6 months
or are you planning to become sexually active?
> Have you ever
shared needles or used intravenous (I.V.) drugs?
> Do you undergo
dialysis or get blood transfusions?
> Do you live
with, or have close contact with, someone who
has hepatitis B?
> Have you ever
lived in or traveled to a high-risk part of the
world (i.e., Africa, China, Middle East, South
America,
> Southeast Asia,
or the Pacific Islands)?
> Have you undergone
any body piercing or tattooing?
> Do you share
toothbrushes or razors with anyone?
> Do you volunteer
or have a job at a place that could put you in
contact with blood or other body fluids?
If
you answered YES to any of these questions, you
may be at risk of contracting hepatitis B. Talk
with your healthcare provider to find out about
ways to help prevent hepatitis B.
